Welcome to the Middle School Parents’ Association
The Middle School Parents鈥 Associations (MSPA) builds community through education. Comprised of parent volunteers, we seek to welcome new families, keep parents informed about what鈥檚 happening at the school, provide opportunities to get together, and offer meaningful and relevant programming for the parent community. The Parents’ Association hosts regular speaker events, as well as community and social events throughout the academic year. Please join us at one of our events or volunteer to help!
Events
MSPA events are always listed and promoted in the Parents’ Association section of the weekly newsletter. Parents will also receive a monthly email from their grade level parent representative focusing on events relevant to that particular grade. Events planned for the school year include the following:
Welcome Back to School Coffee: for new and returning families (September)
Grade Level Potlucks: To be hosted by a parent from each grade for parents to get together and build community (October)
Fall Parent Social (Grades 6鈥8):聽a grown-up social for Middle School parents held while middle school students attend their own social (October)
Skating Party (Kindergarten鈥揋rade 8):聽a weekend skating party for families (January)
Spring Parent Social (Kindergarten鈥揋rade 8): a fun community event for parents (late spring)
Middle School Faculty Appreciation Reception:聽a 鈥渢hank you鈥 from the parents for faculty and staff (May)
Guest Speakers: The MSPA brings in speakers for the parent community as part of its core mission statement throughout the school year. Previous speakers have discussed juuling, building resilience in your children, and managing technology. Information about these events will be available via the weekly newsletter.
