Study Abroad
Why Study Abroad?
Study abroad is an integral part of learning languages at 91探花 and an ideal complement to the classroom experience. With total immersion, students not only build upon the language they have acquired at 91探花, but also come face to face with the cultures they have studied in the classroom. In short, students discover the true soul of a country. They gain in confidence and grow in appreciation of another culture. Immersion in a totally different surrounding opens their eyes, and the students assimilate a new way of living and looking at the world. For many, their time abroad is a defining experience in their lives.

At first, I was nervous when I went on the French Exchange. I was only a freshman, but French really clicked with me, and I wanted to immerse myself in the language. I loved my host family. There were three children, but the youngest, a 4-year-old, helped me the most! She was always correcting my word choice and pronunciation. Other parts of the trip鈥攁ttending the Cannes Film Festival, visiting Paris鈥攚ere amazing. Even though it was only for two weeks, my French really improved. When I got back to 91探花, I could express my thoughts more easily in French class. That experience helped me decide to do School Year Abroad in Rennes, France.
